Lately I've been listening a lot to music. Not that I didn't do it before, its just that on my birthday (July 2) my father and his girlfriend gave me an MP3 player, and since then, my world changed for music.

As a child, even tough I liked it, I wasn't the music freak that I am today. When everyone had the K7 Walkman, I also had one. But then came the Discman, the MP3 Discman, the first MP3 Players, and I was still stuck with the old K7s. But now things are different.

Its funny how such a tiny object like that can change your life. Music is my fuel, is what keeps me alive (I'm not a suicidal ok? Its just an expression...). Listening to music can give me so many feelings, remind me of the good times, of what I was doing when that song played, or it can just make me happy, make me want to dance like crazy, make me feel sad. So many feelings in less than 4 minutes.

For instance: "Computer Heat", by CSS, makes me want to dance. But is not simply dancing. Its that dancing you just do for yourself, jumping, moving your arms, spinning around, not in front of everyone in the dance floor. Oh the dance floor! I can imagine myself in it. Remember the one in the film Babel, in the part in Japan, where the handicap girl goes to the club. That environment is awesome! Music so loud, lights dancing alongside with you, flashes of people having the same experience. Fucking awesome!! I don't understand why the hell people do drugs. Who needs it when you have dance music? Like CSS says in "Music is my Hot Hot Sex", "From all the drugs the one I like more is music".

Kylie Minogue is a genius in the dance music segment, along with Madonna recently. Songs like "In Your Eyes", "Spinning Around", "Come into my World", "Can't get you out of my Head" and "Let it will be" are the ones that make me go crazy with earphones and volume on max. Madonna's songs are good, but the best are the ones that never turn out to be a single, save some exceptions, like "Music" and "Sorry".
